The Oaks Historic Homestead is centrally located in Canterbury in the middle of New Zealand's South Island, on State Highway 73, the main artery to the West Coast (Arthur's Pass, Greymouth, Franz Joseph, and Haast) and close to the Scenic Route North to Nelson, Blenheim and Golden Bay and Scenic Route South to Queenstown, Te Anau and Milford Sound. In winter the Homestead is a perfect base to explore all commercial and private skifields in Canterbury, with the closest skifield only a 25 minute drive away (Porters).

35 minutes drive from Christchurch. A perfect venue for leisure activities
